Our Approach

We combine three distinct areas of expertise to create change that actually lasts.

1. Intuitive Psychology helps us understand what really drives behaviour, not just what people say drives it.

2. Generational Intelligence lets us translate that understanding across generational lines, so leaders and Gen Z stop talking past each other.

3. And real commercial experience means everything we build is designed to show up in business outcomes, not just in how a session feels on the day.

That blend is what makes us different. Most consultancies bring one of these, a psychology background, or generational research, or business credentials. We bring all three, built around your organisation's specific challenges and language, not delivered as a generic off-the-shelf programme.

The Situation At a Glance

Gen Z aren't the problem. We have a problem.

A Digital Native is someone whose cognitive and social development has been shaped by being born into a digital world. The internet went mainstream in 1995 so everyone born in 1996 onward is the first generation to grow up fully immersed in it, through smartphones, social media, AI, and a pandemic that pushed even more of life and work online.

For the first time, the workforce holds both Digital Natives and Digital Adopters those who transitioned into a digital world rather than being born into one at the same time. Gen Z already make up 27% of the global workforce, and that share only grows from here.

When performance drops, it's tempting to look at the individual and ask what's wrong with them (lazy, entitled, unresilient, disengaged). We often just look at the fish Gen Z and focus on how they're behaving. What we forget to look at is the water they're swimming in: the environment, the leadership, the systems they're operating inside.

For Managers

For Managers

Most managers were never taught how to lead in the digital age it doesn't look like it did when they were starting out themselves. Many are struggling to understand, motivate, and lead the new generation. Left unaddressed, that shows up as miscommunication, friction over feedback, and widening generational gaps.

For Businesses

For Businesses

Left unaddressed, this shows up as low engagement, high turnover, avoidable conflict, rising grievances, and early career talent that doesn't stay long enough to become your next generation of leaders.

Gen Z Are Your Future Leaders

Gen Z Are Your Future Leaders

They're not lazy. They're not broken. Neither are the managers trying to lead them — they're under-supported in the areas that matter, and over-supported in the areas that don't.

Gen Z Are Your Future Leaders

Purpose-driven, creative and adaptable, Gen Z's potential is often left unrealised simply because it's misunderstood. Invest in it, and you get the productivity, performance and innovation that comes with it. Ignore it, and you get disengagement and attrition instead.

Creating Impact At All Levels

Creating Impact At All Levels

Whether you're looking to reduce turnover, improve performance or future-proof your people strategy — the pattern we see again and again is leaders and managers who were never taught how to lead in the digital age. We help you modernise training across all generations. Gen Z was simply the first generation to disengage fastest when modernisation isn't there.

The Solution

The Solution

We build Generational Intelligence (GQ): the ability to understand, empathise and communicate across generations. Most of our work goes into building it in leaders, managers and organisations as a whole — helping them modernise how they lead, manage and communicate across a multigenerational workforce. Almost every partnership begins here, with senior leaders, because that's where the biggest gap is. When boards and managers shift their assumptions, communication and strategy style first, change cascades faster, cultural friction drops, and young talent performs at a higher level and stays for longer. Alongside that, we work directly with Gen Z and early-career talent — building the confidence, communication and self-leadership skills their digital upbringing didn't teach them: how to give and receive feedback, communicate with managers, and handle conflict before it becomes a grievance. So that leaders, managers and the people they lead don't grow apart — they grow together.

Patrick Quinton Smith

Patrick (29) has already built a rich and varied career with over a decade of experience from leading teams in start-ups and working internationally, to consulting for global businesses and even launching and selling a successful events company while still at university.

His journey into coaching began six years ago, after facing serious challenges in his first graduate role at Europe’s fastest-growing start up. He was ready to quit but a coach, hired by the company, completely changed his path. He ended up staying another 3.5 years, getting promoted eight times, and leading multiple high performing Gen Z teams including one with 240 people that collected £8.3 million in under a year.

That experience sparked his passion for coaching and lit a fire to help other businesses, and their young people, achieve the same kind of transformation.

Today, Patrick is a certified leadership trainer and Professional Certified Coach (PCC) with the International Coaching Federation (ICF) a qualification equivalent to ILM Level 7. He also has additional training in mental fitness, transformational coaching, team dynamics, and career development.

Over the past four years, Patrick has delivered 750+ hours of coaching helping over 200 Gen Z professionals grow in confidence and performance, while supporting their managers to lead thriving multigenerational teams.

Patrick learned firsthand that when people are truly supported to grow, they can reach their potential and businesses thrive. That experience became his mission. Co founding Gen Z Coach is how he’s driving it forward.

Growing up, Zavier (25) greatly questioned the idea of ‘success’ handed to him at school and his upbringing in Essex.

Discovering meditation at 14 and starting his first profitable business at 15, a lifelong passion and curiosity was ignited for exploring how inner connection and outer growth are intertwined.

A few more ventures, jobs, travels and a degree later, he was encouraged to explore coaching. He quickly took to it, qualifying as the youngest Master Intuitive Psychology Coach in the world, a qualified mindfulness teacher, and accredited at the highest level by the Association of Coaching. He’s since delivered workshops internationally, been awarded an entrepreneurial fellowship backed by Mercedes-Benz, and taken to the TEDx stage.

He’s also become a trusted 1:1 personal development coach to high performing entrepreneurs and creative directors around the world.

But he knew he wanted to share this work, at scale especially with his own age group.

Having experienced the gaps in the education system around human skills like confidence, relationship building and emotional intelligence, he’s always been driven to fill those gaps and help young people live more connected, meaningful lives.

After working across start-ups and major consultancies, he saw the same human skills gaps affecting workplace culture too from team connection to engagement and performance.

So putting 2 and 2 together, he co founded Gen Z Coach with the simple mission: to help young people and businesses grow, together.
